Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interim Director of Nursing (DON) role in a long-term care management setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active NE or Compact RN license.

• Long-term care (LTC) post-acute care setting
• Serving as Interim Director of Nursing with floor coverage responsibilities as needed
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Work week runs Sunday through Saturday
• EMR: PointClickCare (PCC)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NE or Compact RN license, must be active at time of consideration — pending licensure not accepted
• Active BLS certification required; pending certifications not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required — no exceptions
• DON or nursing leadership experience in a long-term care or post-acute setting strongly implied by the role
• PointClickCare (PCC) EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Serves as the interim DON for the facility, with the expectation of working the floor as needed to cover shifts
• No on-call or call-back responsibilities
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and are eligible at a adjusted rate
