Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a day shift position at a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring MA CT licensure, ARRT (CT) certification, and Siemens CT scanner experience.
Details
- Level 1 trauma hospital setting within a large academic medical system
- CT Scan department with rotation required among radiology clinics and divisions, including off-site locations
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend availability required; varied days (non-rotating shift)
- 36 hours per week
- Siemens CT scanner used; experience required
- Epic used for charting
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year in cross-sectional anatomy
- Active MA Radiologic Technologist license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Siemens CT scanner experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted
Additional Information
- Operates CT equipment including CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices to acquire diagnostic images per departmental protocol
- Performs venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction, following all contrast administration policies
- Executes Radiology Information System functions including scheduling exams, completing exams, and transferring images to PACS
- Calibrates and verifies equipment operation daily and reports malfunctions as needed
- May oversee and instruct radiology and CT technology students within the department
- Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement projects, and departmental research programs
- Responsible for transporting and transferring patients per departmental guidelines
- No validated parking available at Boston locations; public parking rates range from $17–$22 daily
- Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible but will be placed at a reduced pay rate
- RTO requests must be noted at the time of consideration
