Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a community hospital, requiring at least 2 years of recent specialty experience and both Missouri and Kansas RN licenses in hand.

Details

• 13-week contract at a 240-bed community hospital with a 16-bed ICU
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Post-catheterization patients are part of the patient population
• Telemetry monitoring performed directly on the unit
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period, consisting of a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
• Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required on a regular basis
• No on-call requirements
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Active Missouri (MO) RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand — both Kansas (KS) and Missouri (MO) licenses must be in hand prior to start due to floating requirements
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry specialty experience required
• At least 1 full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months, with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Epic EMR experience
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references required: one must be supervisor-level or above, the second may be a Charge RN — all must be from individuals who have worked with the candidate within the past year
• SSN required for consideration

• Holiday shift coverage is expected as needed
• RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

• Pre-compliance modules averaging 10–15 hours are required and must be completed prior to the start date
