Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience and an active HI RN license.

Details

• Hospital ICU setting with an 11-bed unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1
• Charting via Meditech EMR
• Varied shift — day or night determined per roster period based on staffing needs
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts (36 hours) per week following the first week of orientation
• Two 12-hour on-call shifts required per 4-week roster period
• May float to other critical care and step-down units as needed

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment — must apply upon acceptance if not currently held
• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required — may be completed via a 45-minute online class during orientation if not already held
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Must be flexible with day or night shift scheduling

Additional Information

• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment — plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment
• One week of orientation provided, up to 40 hours
• Professional scrubs required as dress code
