Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position at a 153-bed children's hospital with a Level IV NICU, requiring at least 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend rotation, with the option to work additional weekends if desired
- No on-call requirements
- 153-bed children's hospital with a 70-bed Level IV NICU
- Neonatal patient population including prematurity, RDS, chronic lung disease, and surgical patients
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Equipment used includes Oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
Requirements
- Current RRT certification
- NRP and BLS certifications required
- WA state Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level III or IV NICU
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency with Oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
- First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 5 years total RT experience, including 2 recent years in a Level III or IV NICU
- Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required prior to start; one reference sufficient for initial consideration
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal patients, including premature infants and post-surgical neonates
- Scrub color is open, with the exception of maroon or spice-colored scrubs
- Candidate interviews conducted via SimpliFi clinical interviewing with final unit approval
