Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU position at a Level 4 children's hospital, requiring at least 1 year of Level III or IV NICU experience and proficiency with specialized neonatal respiratory equipment.
Details
- 153-bed children's hospital with a 70-bed Level 4 NICU
- Neonatal patient population with diagnoses including prematurity, RDS, chronic lung disease, and surgical cases
- Specialized equipment includes oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
- Epic EMR required
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend rotation, with the option to work additional weekends
- No call required
Requirements
- Active WA state Respiratory Therapist license required — license required if applicable
- Current certifications required: RRT, NRP, and BLS
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level III or IV NICU
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency with neonatal respiratory equipment including oscillator, Bunnell Jet, Draeger, NOx Box INO, ABG (GEM), Bubble CPAP, and HHFNC
- First-time travelers considered with a minimum of 5 years total RT experience, including 2 recent years in a Level III or IV NICU
- Two supervisory references required (charge nurse level or above); one reference accepted for initial consideration with a second required prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy to critically ill neonatal patients, including premature infants and post-surgical cases
- Position undergoes clinical interviewing with unit final approval
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable; maroon and spice colors are not permitted
