Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Scan Technologist for a night shift position at a freestanding emergency department, requiring 2+ years of acute care CT experience and Canon/Toshiba system proficiency.

Details

• Freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting performing CT and X-ray exams
• CT equipment is a Canon/Toshiba Aquillion 64; X-ray unit and portable are GE
• EMR: Medhost EDIS with Change Healthcare PACS (McKesson)
• Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 7 days on / 7 days off block scheduling
• No floating required
• No on-call required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience in an acute care setting
• ARRT certification required
• Current BLS required
• Texas Medical Board (TMB) Radiologic Technologist license required — license required if applicable
• Hands-on experience with Canon/Toshiba CT systems required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Perform routine diagnostic CT procedures including head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures
• Perform basic radiographic procedures including portable and freestanding ER X-ray exams
• Responsibilities include studies with and without contrast media, surgical/sterile procedures, and cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
• Works under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols
• Black scrubs preferred; solid colors allowed
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
