Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) night shift travel assignment in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled or 24/7 care environment.
Details
- Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Madison, WI
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) unit serving adults with high-acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Night shift hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
- On-call responsibilities required
- Floating is not currently required, though candidates should be aware that floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
- Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machines, and BGMs
- Epic EMR used for charting
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred given the unit's high-acuity, Med-Surg-like environment
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Unit functions similarly to a Med-Surg unit at times due to high patient acuity
- All nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed for patient safety
- Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
