Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled care environment and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• Free-standing, 49-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) on the east side of Madison, WI
• Serves adults with high-acuity rehabilitation needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM; night shifts also available 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
• On-call requirements apply
• Floating is not currently required, but candidates should be aware that floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be introduced in the future
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, slide boards, vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGM

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
• Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred given the unit's high-acuity environment
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program
• The unit can reach high acuity levels and functions similarly to a Med-Surg unit; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• 13-week contract
