Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel OR RN for a Surgical Services position requiring 2+ years of OR experience, Epic proficiency, and an active VA or Compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a large 495-bed hospital in Winchester, VA
- Assignment is within the Surgical Services department
- Surgical specialties include robotics, general, trauma, orthopedic, vascular, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, and thoracic
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM (4x10s, days)
- On-call required 6–8 times per month, which may include weekends
- No floating required
- EMR is Epic (required)
Requirements
- Active VA state RN license or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- US SSN required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible

- Blue scrubs required per Valley Health dress code policy
- Winchester, VA is located approximately 2 hours from Washington, D.C. and offers access to outdoor recreation, wineries, breweries, and cultural attractions in the Shenandoah Valley
