Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a valid IA or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit in a regional hospital setting serving Ottumwa and Southeast Iowa
• Patient population includes adults and all age groups
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Charting via MediTech EHR
• 13-week contract
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• HWC certification required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travel nursing experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for this travel assignment
• Onboarding requires an Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions), fully cleared prior to start — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• A mandatory reporter certification (child and adult) is required for onboarding
• Drug screening must be a 10-panel test including opiates
• Titers must be dated within the last 12 months
