Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift contract in an acute care hospital radiology department, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department serving ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• CT unit uses Siemens equipment including 64-slice and 128-slice scanners
• Patients are scheduled 1 per hour to allow time for inpatient and ER add-ons
• Radiology department typically schedules 15 techs per 24-hour period
• CT-proficient candidates may be scheduled at 7:00 AM or 3:00 PM; general Rad Techs may be scheduled at 11:00 AM
• 12-hour night shifts
• Holiday coverage is handled via call
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR
• A radiologist is on-site or on-call depending on workflow

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Current BLS, ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and Fluoroscopy Permit required — active certifications only; pending certifications will not be accepted
• State of California radiologic technology licensure required — active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable
• Proficiency with CT scanners (Siemens preferred)
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Radiology management team includes a Radiology Coordinator, Manager, and Supervisor
• Orientation length for CT-experienced techs is determined on a case-by-case basis depending on scanner experience
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• OR experience is desirable; venipuncture experience and advanced ARRT certification are a plus but not required
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
