Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of endoscopy experience, Epic proficiency, and on-call availability including holidays and weekends.
Details
- Inpatient endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
- Advanced endoscopy procedures performed, including EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, and ERCP
- 12-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (0600–1830), with on-call requirements
- On-call coverage required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- When on call, candidate must be within 30 minutes of the facility
- Floating required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the main facility
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required; inpatient endoscopy experience specifically required
- Advanced endoscopy experience (EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, ERCP) preferred
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Degree must be from an accredited nursing program, or candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; candidates cannot own or co-sign on any property within the 50-mile radius
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Two professional references required — at least one from within the past year
Additional Information
- Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate into the unit culture — flexibility and a team-player attitude are highly valued
- Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
- Interview process includes an HWL prescreen interview followed by a manager final interview
