Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of endoscopy experience, Epic proficiency, and on-call availability including holidays and weekends.

Details

Inpatient endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
Advanced endoscopy procedures performed, including EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, and ERCP
12-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (0600–1830), with on-call requirements
On-call coverage required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
When on call, candidate must be within 30 minutes of the facility
Floating required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the main facility
Epic EMR experience required
13-week contract

Requirements

Active FL or Compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience required; inpatient endoscopy experience specifically required
Advanced endoscopy experience (EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, ERCP) preferred
Epic EMR proficiency required
Degree must be from an accredited nursing program, or candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; candidates cannot own or co-sign on any property within the 50-mile radius
Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
Two professional references required — at least one from within the past year

Additional Information

Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate into the unit culture — flexibility and a team-player attitude are highly valued
Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made
Block scheduling requests are not accepted
Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
Interview process includes an HWL prescreen interview followed by a manager final interview
