Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Radiographer (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II Trauma hospital in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, requiring ARRT certification and 2+ years of IR experience.
Details
- Position is located in the Interventional Radiology department on the 2nd floor of a 225-bed specialty care hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- The unit consists of 5 exam rooms and 1 specials room serving adult and geriatric patient populations
- Common procedures include peripheral interventions, biopsies, venous and arterial thrombolysis, EVARs, MMAs, and drains/drainage
- Equipment used includes GE Innova imaging systems
- EHR system is Cerner
- 8-hour day shifts with start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM
- Weekend hours are call only; call requirements include 1 call night per week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks on a rotational basis
- Floating required to the Interventional Pain Clinic
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- ARRT Registry certification required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Proficiency in sterile technique and the ability to scrub for a variety of IR procedures
- Experience operating IR imaging equipment
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

- Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly schedule
- Hospital-provided scrubs; standard surgical attire required
- The facility is a regional specialty care hub offering services including Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health, among others
- Located in Marquette, MI, the largest community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and home to Northern Michigan University
- Candidates must be willing to work with a variety of providers and staff in diverse clinical situations
