Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with at least 1 year of recent experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care and inpatient rehabilitation setting at a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke facility in Kansas City, MO.
Details
- Works across both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation (IRF) units within a 26-bed rehab facility
- Serves a diverse patient population at a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center
- Caseload is shared among all Speech Therapists, each covering both acute and rehab patients
- Performs bedside swallow evaluations; video swallow experience preferred
- Uses TIMS equipment for swallowing assessments
- Documents in Meditech EMR
- Monday through Friday schedule with rotating weekends preferred; scheduling is flexible
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM shift
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of active experience within the last 6 months
- Active Missouri SLP license required (license required if applicable)
- Two professional references required for this Missouri placement
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- Competency in bedside swallow evaluations
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provides speech therapy services to both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Gray scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- The facility is a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center, offering exposure to a wide variety of complex and diverse cases
