Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring at least one year of experience and AHA-certified BLS and ACLS.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit with 34 beds in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients; pediatric patients are occasionally present on the unit but are not assigned to travelers
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical cases
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts, 7P–7A (nights)
• Occasional weekend shifts required (same hours apply)
• On-call or reduced staffing situations may require call coverage
• Floating may include caring for inpatient holds
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA-certified BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required for travel consideration
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly schedule
• Scrubs in any color are acceptable; closed-toe shoes are required for all clinical staff
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• The facility is located in Sierra Vista, AZ, approximately 75 miles southeast of Tucson in the high desert of southeastern Arizona
