Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 5 years of L&D experience and active AHA-issued certifications including NRP Advanced Provider or Instructor.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications required (all from AHA): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Minimum of 5 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliant travelers
- Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
- Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members
- Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes appropriate referrals for ongoing care needs
