Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatrics Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and the ability to float across multiple pediatric specialty units.

Details

  • Hospital-based position within a Pediatrics Float Pool
  • Float pool covers a wide range of pediatric units including a 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, 112-bed NICU (feeder/grower low-acuity patients only), surgical, behavioral health, med specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), heme/onc, step-down, and cardiac peds
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Weekends and holidays required
  • Experience with trach care, high-flow oxygen, and infusion required — travelers serve as first-line for skills

Requirements

  • Active OK RN license or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Experience with trach, high-flow oxygen, and infusion required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Ability to float across all pediatric acute care units

Additional Information

  • Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to apply; travelers who have extended may only do so once for a total of 26 weeks
  • Compliance requirements are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance
  • BSN is preferred but not required
