Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a cardiac cath lab position in Elizabethtown, KY, performing adult and geriatric cardiac catheterization procedures with ARRT certification and BLS/ACLS required.

Details

• Located in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Adult and geriatric cardiac catheterization patient population
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• On-call required
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT registration and Kentucky state registration (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS
• Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course
• 1 year of invasive vascular experience preferred
• Must provide MM/DD of DOB and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs in multiple roles during cardiac catheterization procedures including computer operator, scrub assistant, second circulator, and recovery technician
• Responsible for safe operation of fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment and coordination of care with physicians and other departments
• Assists circulating RN with patient assessment, medication management, and documentation of procedural and hemodynamic data in the medical record
• Monitors and assesses radiation safety in accordance with code of practice guidelines and facility policy
• Assists in emergency management including coordinating emergency transfers per facility policy
• Maintains sterile technique and assists with equipment setup and first-line physician assistance during procedures
