Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in the Radiology department of a large hospital in San Antonio, TX, working overnight shifts Monday through Thursday.
Details
- Located in the CT Scan department of a 900+ bed hospital facility, situated in the North Tower on floor SL2
- Department is staffed by 17 technologists total, with 1 supervisor and 7 technologists on days and 5 technologists on nights
- Equipment includes 4 Siemens CT scanners and 1 GE CT scanner
- EMR systems used include Meditech, AGFA PACS, and GE Centricity RIS
- Procedures include CT abdomen/pelvis with and without contrast, head, stroke, triple rule-out, CT angiography, and PE protocols
- Patient ratios are variable
- Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM (12.5-hour overnight shifts)
- Weekend-specific shifts may be required; no on-call obligation
- Assigned exclusively to the Emergency Department — no floating to other units
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent CT technologist experience (within the last 6 months)
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Active Texas Medical Board license required if applicable
- Proficiency in general CT and CT angiography (PE protocols) is required
- Experience with Siemens CT equipment is preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates considered
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidates are expected to work well in a team-oriented, casual environment and adapt to variable personalities — you will not be working alone
- Required scrub attire is black pants and olive-colored tops
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but allied candidates must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the role they are applying for
