Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least one year of ED experience and AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications.

- Position is based in a hospital Emergency Department in Oklahoma City, OK
- Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- Every other weekend requirement
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in standard nursing procedures including IV therapy, medication administration, and physiological monitoring
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of patients, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families, and delegates tasks to support personnel as appropriate
- BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
- Travelers who have previously worked with this health system may re-apply after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) of total contract time
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of the offer — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and non-negotiable
