Description

American Traveler is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week outpatient rehab contract at a Critical Access Hospital in Bishop, CA.

• Outpatient rehabilitation clinic setting affiliated with a 17-bed Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic in Bishop, CA
• Day shift schedule
• 1:1 patient care model with one 45-minute appointment per hour
• Outpatient and hand-based therapy patient population

Requirements

• Active CA Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Outpatient and hand-based therapy experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment plan formulation, goal-setting with input from physicians and family members, and administration of OT treatments
• Treatment plans are reassessed and revised as necessary, at minimum every 6 weeks
• Documents progress reports in a timely manner to support insurance authorization and utilization review
• Interacts with all hospital departments and medical staff as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Dorm-style furnished housing may be available on-site for a monthly cost, with options including private studio or one-bedroom apartments featuring full kitchens, bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and cable
• On-site apartment amenities include a pool, common areas, fitness equipment, and more
• The facility is located in Mammoth Lakes, CA, offering year-round outdoor recreation including skiing, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking
