Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float Pool position requiring strong telemetry or IMC experience and an active Oregon RN license.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, Magnet-designated, teaching facility, and Level II Trauma Center with 569 staffed beds
• Float Pool assignment supporting all adult inpatient units, including Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and IMC units
• May float to a sister hospital (West Valley Hospital) in Dallas, OR as part of the float pool assignment
• Patient ratios: RN 1:4–6; CNA 1:6–13 on days and 1:10–13 on nights
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Charting via Epic (required, no exceptions)
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required — pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele, PCU, or IMC required
• Strong telemetry or IMC experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing cardiac drips (nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone) required
• Skills required: O2 protocol, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, and rapid response team activation
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID vaccination required — no exemptions

Additional Information

• Float Pool RNs support a broad range of adult inpatient care areas, including the ED, ICU, psychiatric medical center, inpatient rehabilitation, and vascular access units
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates — no radius restriction
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests exceeding 10 days require approval and must be submitted upfront — additional RTO requests after submission may result in cancellation
