Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Chandler, AZ.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department specializing in CT (Computed Tomography)
• Common imaging studies include stroke, trauma, ER, and inpatient CT scans
• Department operates with 2 techs per scanner across 2 scanners
• Approx. 300 scans performed per day
• Uses Siemens CT scanners and Cerner EMR
• In-house radiologist coverage during days; teleradiology used after hours
• Two shift options: Monday–Thursday 8:00 PM–6:30 AM (10-hour shifts) or Friday–Sunday 6:30 PM–7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Call required every 4th–5th week on designated weekdays and weekends; 1-hour response time required
• Holiday coverage is required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with recent experience within the past 6 months required
• Active ARRT and CT specialty certification (MRTBE CT) required; pending certifications not accepted
• Active BLS certification required
• Radiation badge required
• Siemens CT experience preferred
• Trauma experience and Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as determined by driver's license address

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging for a high-volume acute care department including stroke, trauma, ER, and inpatient studies
• Orientation includes an in-person CT orientation packet
• Teal scrubs required
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
