Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel assignment at a Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital in Beckley, WV, requiring 1+ year of experience and the ability to work independently as the sole RT on shift.

Details

• Night shift hours, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Respiratory Therapy department within an acute care hospital setting
• Serves patients across all age groups
• Experience in ER and critical care settings required, as this is a critical access hospital environment
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• On-call coverage required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• RRT credential required, with active certification/licensure to practice as an RRT in West Virginia
• AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• All required certifications must be current prior to start
• Ability to work independently as the sole RT on shift
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience in emergency room and critical care settings
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Orientation is held biweekly on Wednesdays
• Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
• The hospital is Joint Commission accredited and provides care to approximately 13,000 inpatients and over 50,000 emergency patients annually
