Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring at least one year of ED experience, trauma experience, and AHA certifications.

- Adult Emergency Department setting at an acute care hospital in Oklahoma City, OK
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required
- Travel and trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Responsibilities include managing assigned patient caseloads, documenting nursing interventions, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
- Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members
- Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes appropriate referrals for ongoing care needs
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (prior workers may extend once, for a total of 26 weeks, unless otherwise agreed upon)
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer — the facility does not allow delayed start dates due to non-compliance
