Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a Surgical Unit, requiring independent telemetry interpretation and night shift availability.

Details

• Acute care interventional telemetry medical-surgical unit in a hospital setting
• 30-bed unit with a mix of private and semi-private rooms
• Primarily post-operative GI surgical patient population with moderate to high acuity
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Common drips include heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, and ketamine
• Patients may have PCAs, epidurals, foleys, and drains; no ventilated patients
• Epic EMR in use
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Med/Surg telemetry nursing experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the central Columbus, OH facility to be eligible for this position
