Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel X-Ray Technologist for a Radiology position in New Jersey, requiring ARRT certification, an active NJ RT license, and 1-3 years of experience.

Details

• Radiology department within an acute care hospital setting
• 8-hour AM shifts, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• On-call required
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 13-week travel assignment

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Graduate of an accredited Radiography school
• Active NJ State RT License required (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform imaging and treatment procedures in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Maintain imaging equipment and assess patient safety, procedural, physical, and physiological comfort throughout procedures
• Monitor need for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging workflow
• May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Travelers who have been on assignment for one continuous calendar year must take a 30-60 day break before beginning a new assignment at this facility
