Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and on-call availability.
Details
- Work setting is an acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
- Assignment in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00–17:30
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs
- On-call is required covering weeknights (17:30–07:00) and full weekends (Friday 17:30 through Monday 07:00)
- Procedures include diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac stent placement, circulating procedures, and right and left heart catheterization
- Charting is done in Epic (experience required)
- Free parking is available on site
- Travelers may be required to float between all facilities within the state
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of total RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required (hard stop)
- Experience with diagnostic cardiac cath, stent placement, and right/left heart catheterization required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered; candidates with 5+ years of experience may be screened for an exception
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- RN scrub color is navy blue
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; RTO requests made after submission or offer may be denied
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
- Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
