Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract in California, requiring a minimum of 1.5 years of Cath Lab experience, Epic proficiency, and availability for on-call shifts.

Details

• Position is based in the Cath Lab department of a 320-bed acute care hospital
• Schedule is days, 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-call is required: 2 nights per week (post-shift) plus 1 weekend every 2 weeks, totaling 7 on-call days per pay period
• Weekend work is required every other weekend, with the possibility of additional weekends to meet unit needs
• Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
• Floating between all facilities within the state is expected of all travelers
• Local candidates are welcome to apply
• Royal blue scrubs are required for RNs

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; pending licensure is not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Cath Lab RN experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in assignment termination
