Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Anchorage, AK, requiring an active Alaska RN license and experience in ortho, total joints, neuro, and robotics cases.

Details

• Located in the OR department of a hospital in Anchorage, AK
• 11-OR suite performing total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and a variety of Da Vinci Xi robotic cases including GYN, colorectal, and general surgery
• Very limited ENT, dental, ophthalmology, or plastics cases
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend availability is required
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift is staffed with an average of 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs
• On-call is required — averaging 5–6 weekday call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per 4-week period
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN clinical experience required
• Experience in ortho, total joints, neuro, and robotics cases required
• Experience as a circulator preferred
• Experience as a scrub tech preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Primary role is to serve as patient advocate in the circulator role while also supporting the sterile field
• Facility provides scrubs
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
