Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 26-week contract in an echocardiography laboratory setting, requiring RDCS or CCI certification and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Details
- Full-time position in a hospital echocardiography laboratory
- Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures for a cardiac patient population
- Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
- Rotational weekend shifts required
- Holiday coverage is negotiable
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
- Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
- Current RDCS (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) certification required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Strong documentation skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing and overseeing echocardiographic imaging procedures, critiquing image quality, reviewing patient data for accuracy and completeness, and assisting physicians and sonographers in delivering high-quality exams
- Cross-training to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services is expected
- Candidates who have previously been on assignment with this health system for 1 year or more must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any facility within the system
- RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the contract
- Interviews are conducted by the facility leader prior to selection
