Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Cardiovascular ICU for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rockford, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Works across ICU and Step-Down ICU units, including Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), Critical Care (CCU), Neuro ICU, and Step-Down
• Cares for complex, critically ill patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36-hour workweek
• Floating to Step-Down ICU is required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Additional Information

• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, standards of care, and applicable state laws
• Develops and executes individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Documents care according to established standards and participates in unit performance improvement activities
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Position is quick start — candidates should be prepared for a prompt onboarding timeline
