Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down / Med-Surg Telemetry position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry experience and the ability to float within skill set or to nearby sites.

Details

• Night shift position, 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• Placement on a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on the greatest unit need and traveler's skill set
• Both Med-Surg and Step Down RN experience is acceptable for this role, as credentialing requirements are the same
• Required to work every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
• Floating required within skill set onsite or to sister facilities within 40 miles

Requirements

• Active WI or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry acute care experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-issued only)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A renewed yearly; Groups B–F renewed every 2 years)
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
