Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED nursing experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details
- Emergency Department setting at a hospital in Urbana, IL
- Night shift schedule: 3:00 PM–3:00 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within 1 hour
- A 2-week nights rotation is required of all travelers
- Every other weekend shift required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Trauma Level 2 or higher ED experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- TNCC preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Travelers who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 continuous year must either convert to permanent employment or take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the health system
- Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, developing and modifying care plans, executing nursing interventions, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborates with providers, patients, and families to deliver and adjust ED-specific care
- Promotes patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
