Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for an inpatient rehab assignment at a Level 1 Trauma facility, requiring Epic experience and a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation setting at a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Limited weekend coverage is possible; a comp day is provided if a weekend shift is worked
- Holiday shifts are not required
- Potential for cross-coverage to the Acute unit
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences, Communication Sciences, or a related field
- Valid Illinois SLP license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, or completion of a Clinical Fellowship
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Level 1 Trauma experience
Additional Information
- Evaluates and treats patients across all age groups in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Collects case histories and integrates information from patients, families, caregivers, and other professionals
- Selects and administers appropriate evaluation and intervention procedures tailored to individual patient needs
- Develops and implements individualized plans of care with measurable, functional goals
- Utilizes standardized outcomes measures and instrumental evaluations to accurately reflect patient performance
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the broader medical team throughout the rehabilitation process
- Provides family education and training as needed
- Communicates patient status, progress, and care recommendations to the interdisciplinary medical team
- Completes clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may not return until completing a 6-month break in service if total continuous assignment time has reached 1 year
