Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Sonographer with RVT certification and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel contract in the greater Boston area.
Details
- Cardiovascular care unit at an acute care hospital
- Performs vascular ultrasound procedures including carotid, arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular studies
- Uses Doppler and color-flow imaging to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities
- Tuesday–Friday schedule, 4x9-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, 36 hours per week
- Charts using Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of vascular sonography experience
- RVT (ARDMS) certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
- Active MA license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are permitted
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform and oversee a wide range of vascular ultrasound examinations using Doppler and color-flow imaging
- Responsible for maintenance and calibration of vascular ultrasound equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate ultrasound protocols
- Timekeeping system: UKG/Kronos
- Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate
- No validated parking available at Boston-area locations; public parking is available at candidate's expense
