Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with robotic and ortho/neuro experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Florida hospital requiring prior travel experience and an active FL or compact RN license.
Details
- 12-hour day shifts, Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- On-call required: 1 shift per week (2–4 hours after a scheduled day) and 1–2 full 12-hour weekend shifts per month
- Surgical specialties include orthopedics, neurology, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, trauma, and robotics
- Epic EMR
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses (all within 15–20 minutes of each other)
- Hospital provides scrubs
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Robotic surgery experience required
- Orthopedic and neurology surgical experience required
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Nursing degree from an accredited program required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
- Candidate's driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (candidates must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius)
- Two professional references required (at least one from within the past year)
- Full demographic information required for consideration: full name, address, email, date of birth, SSN, and RN license number
Additional Information
- Travelers are welcomed into the unit and are expected to perform at the same level as core staff
- Orientation begins on a Friday; remote orientation is completed prior to an in-person visit to the facility for badge/ID issuance — candidates must be in the area on that Friday
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as the facility will not approve RTO after an offer is made
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- No first-time travelers; prior travel experience is required for this position
