Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and required robotic and ortho/neuro skills for a 13-week travel contract in Florida.

Details

10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
On-call required: 1 shift per week (2–4 hours after a scheduled day) and 1–2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
Specialties include orthopedics, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, trauma, and robotics
Epic EMR
Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility

Requirements

Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
Robotic surgical experience required
Orthopedic and/or neuro OR experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Degree accreditation from an accredited nursing program required, or minimum 5 years of RN experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify

Additional Information

Scrubs are provided by the hospital
Orientation begins on a Friday and includes remote orientation components; candidates must report to the facility in person on that Friday for badge and ID processing
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration, as it will not be approved after an offer is extended
No block scheduling requests will be accepted
Travelers are expected to integrate into the unit and function as core staff
Two professional references are required for consideration (at least one within the past year)
Full demographic information including date of birth, Social Security number, and RN license number is required for consideration
