Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a major hospital in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of permanent specialty experience and an Ohio or compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit within a large hospital setting
- Rotating day/night shifts on a 4x12-hour schedule (7:00–19:30 days, 19:00–7:30 nights); shifts may vary based on operational needs
- Floating may be required to other Med/Surg Tele units and the ED to care for the same patient population
- Block scheduling is not available for this position
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Med/Surg Tele required prior to any travel assignments
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; travel experience is acceptable for this requirement
- A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required to continue the assignment
- Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday
- Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any facility within this health system, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning another assignment within the system
