Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU (NCCU) travel assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) within a large academic hospital setting (500+ bed facility)
• Patient population includes those with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, nerve and muscle diseases, and post-operative neurosurgical patients
• Care requires interfacing between the brain and other vital organ systems
• Rotating 12-hour shifts covering both day (7A) and night (7P) schedules
• 48 hours per week
• 3 of every 6 weekends required
• 2 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• Floating required to areas of like skill set, including ICU and IMC
• Epic EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Critical Care Certification preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Experience at a comparable large facility (500+ beds) required

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Provides post-operative neurosurgical care to neurologically complex patients
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
