Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a teaching hospital, requiring strong orthopedic surgical experience and an active MN RN license.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room (OR) of a 317-bed acute care teaching hospital (Level 3 Trauma)
- Primary focus on orthopedic surgical cases, with general surgery as a secondary specialty
- Day and evening shifts available on a 5x8 schedule, with start times of 11:00 and 14:45
- Weekends required on an as-needed basis
- On-call required on an as-needed basis
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Charting in Epic (Excellian) — experience required
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience with a strong orthopedic background
- Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
- At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO requests should not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
- Candidates who previously worked at this health system as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
- Pre-employment modules are required to be completed before the start of the assignment
- Note that this facility does not provide professional references to travelers post-assignment or for those who previously worked as permanent employees
