Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, requiring 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting and at least 2 years of travel nursing experience.

- Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OK state RN license or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Required certifications (American Heart Association only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Minimum of 5 years of L&D nursing experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Proficient in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of diverse patients and visitors
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient caseload, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Collaborates with patients and families on care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum total of 26 weeks
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — the facility will not accommodate delayed start dates for non-compliant travelers
