Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical - Surgery Trauma unit position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position is based in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Unit: 6A - Surgery Trauma (Medical/Surgical)
• Common diagnoses include spinal/neuro trauma, gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Experience in high-volume, high-acuity trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced trauma cases
• Epic EMR proficiency required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to complex surgical and trauma patients, including spinal/neuro, gunshot wound, and mobility-impaired populations
• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Certifications and active license required for consideration
