Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel contract in a Labor & Delivery unit in Denver, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and active fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting, located on the 3rd floor of the main building
• Unit consists of 29 beds, 4 ORs, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms
• Patient ratio is 2:1
• Procedures performed include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and external cephalic versions
• High-risk OB cases are a regular part of the caseload
• Equipment includes Centricity and GE fetal monitors
• EMR is Meditech/CPN; prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (19:00–07:00)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license — CO license or compact license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card required)
• Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN fetal monitoring certification, or NCCEFM required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in L&D
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital L&D experience in the specialty
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required
• PACU and/or OR experience preferred
• Meditech/CPN EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Self-starters who can work independently while supporting teammates are the ideal personality fit for this unit
• Night shift staffing includes 20 RNs, 1–2 CSTs, 1 charge nurse, and 1 flex nurse
