Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist / Rad Tech for a freestanding emergency department, requiring ARRT-CT certification and a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience, with weekend shifts covering both CT and X-ray modalities.
Details
- Position is based in a 12-bed freestanding ER (FSED) with a 7-bed vertical fast track area, serving an average of 80 patients per day with 100+ patients during winter surge
- Role covers both CT and X-ray modalities, often as single-staff coverage for both
- Equipment includes a GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray
- Documentation systems include Meditech and Sectra
- Schedule is 36 hours per week, Friday through Sunday, 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
- Weekend and holiday rotation required; no on-call requirement
- Floating to other units is not required
- Moderate pediatric volume is present in this setting
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Active ARRT and ARRT-CT certifications required
- CPR/BLS certification required
- VA state license or compact license required if applicable
- Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role
- Ability to work independently and cover both CT and X-ray modalities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Acute Stroke Ready competency required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Procedures are standard ER-based imaging; no surgical procedures or biopsies are performed
- The facility is an Acute Stroke Ready FSED affiliated with a main campus that holds Comprehensive Stroke, Trauma Level 1, and Burn Center certifications
- The unit is known for excellent teamwork, strong culture, and high patient experience scores (above the 80th percentile)
- Grey scrubs are required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Unit is semi friendly you get floated a lot in your first month of contact you all all the supplies you need. Over time is always available
Cons
Resources for your unit some are helpful others are not. If you have to use a timesheet for your pay the CNC doesn’t like that hopefully agency can upgrade that.
