Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a 13-week travel contract at a busy 65-bed adult Emergency Department in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED nursing experience.

Details

• 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and dedicated Acute Mental Health area
• High-volume unit averaging 230 patient visits per day
• Patient population is all-inclusive (adult, pediatric, and mental health)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• 36-hour weekly schedule with rotating day, evening, and night shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a) as requested; rotation frequency is low
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Floating required
• EMR: Epic (ASAP module)
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
• Proficiency in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• All certifications must be AHA-issued; no other providers accepted for this facility
• Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
