Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring extensive cardiac and ICU experience with a nights schedule.

Details

• Float pool position covering Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units
• Primary focus on ICU-level care with the ability to float down to Medical Surgical as needed
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU experience required
• Extensive cardiac experience required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
• Applies critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• COVID-19 vaccination required for eligibility
