Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Echocardiography for a 13-week travel contract in a cardiology non-invasive unit, requiring ARDCS certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Cardiology Non-Invasive unit within an academic medical center setting
- Inpatient, outpatient, and ICU patient populations
- Expected caseload of 7–8 echo studies per day minimum
- May float to an outpatient facility
- Some call may be required
- Epic EMR used; recent experience required
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
- Block schedules are not available for this position
Requirements
- ARDCS certification (ARDMS or CCI) required
- AHA BLS required
- EKG recognition required
- Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography experience
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
- Two professional references required — at least one from a nurse manager or supervisor within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
- Reliable personal transportation is required, as public transit is not accessible in this area; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
Additional Information
- Perform adult echocardiography studies in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, facility type, and trauma level; all employment gaps over 30 days must be explained
- Two professional references from a nurse manager and/or supervisor are required — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
- Candidates holding a NY license may be considered with proof of pending licensure included
