Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Joint Commission accredited hospital in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and current fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit in a Joint Commission accredited, Duke LifePoint hospital with 205 licensed beds
- 16-bed OB/GYN combined unit following AWHONN patient ratio guidelines
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 5–6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- No scheduled call, but flex-down may occur based on unit census and staff rotation
- Floating is not required, but may occasionally float to a task or secretary role as needed
- EMR: GE Centricity/Paragon
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (intermediate level at minimum; advanced accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Experience in couplet care and LDRP required
- Some NICU experience required
- Candidate's permanent address must be 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides labor and delivery nursing care within an OB/GYN combined unit following AWHONN staffing guidelines
- Facility holds an 'A' rating in LeapFrog Hospital Safety and is accredited by The Joint Commission
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- AHA-issued certifications are required
